Introducing two more wrestling technique videos in the offensive instructional series by HSWrestling.Net. The first video is available to all guests. The Shuck to a Single Leg is a Low Risk, Low Return move. This means that the shot, when done correctly, does not open you up to much from the defensive wrestler. By controlling the tie, and your position, you limit your opponents attacks, while increasing your opportunity of scoring.

The second instructional, which requires a membership, is a basic collar-tie setup to the ankle pick. The “Pick” is a Low Risk/High Return move. While the perfectly executed single leg we mentioned earlier will usually end at two points, the “Pick” often times ends in back exposure. The Ankle pick is one of the best high school wrestling moves because it is very difficult to stop when executed properly. Unlike standard take downs like the Hi-Crotch and Double Leg, you do not have as high of a likelihood of ending up underneath your opponent. HSWrestling.Net will be covering the “Pick” in greater depth throughout the coming weeks, including many more setups.
