Two-time Minnesota high school wrestling champion Eric Devos will not be returning to Apple Valley next year because his family is moving to Waverly, Iowa. Devos, a freshman who compiled an 88-9 record in two seasons at Apple Valley, was on course to win a record six consecutive state championships. He will wrestle for Iowa power Waverly-Shell Rock.
“As great of a wrestler that he is, he is an even better person,” said David Senstad, a rankings editor for The Guillotine wrestling magazine after confirming the move.
