Johnny Sebastian, arguably the top wrestler in the state of New Jersey, has announced he will be wrestling in the Big Ten for Northwestern.
Sebastian is a two-time New Jersey state champion and is generally considered to be the top ranked 182 pound wrestler in the country. While the University of Minnesota and University of Pennsylvania were considerations, his choice to continue his wrestling career at Northwestern centered around a few key variables.
“Northwestern was a great opportunity for me both academically and athletically,” Sebastian said. “I will be getting one of the best educations I can and will be wrestling in one of the toughest conferences (The Big 10) that I can for wrestling. It’s a win-win in both situations.”
