Big day for the future of Olympic Wrestling : Dan Gable Museum

Today is the day the IOC will make a big decision on the future of Olympic Sports and whether Olympic wrestling will be included in that.

In turn, the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum will be hosting a gathering and a press conference set for 11am Sunday September 8th.

The Dan Gable museum will provide a live online broadcast of the IOC’s decision regarding wrestling in future Olympic Games; the aforementioned press conference will be after.

“Wrestling needs to use the momentum of the last six months to strengthen the future of our sport,” said Dan Gable, a Waterloo native who won a gold medal at the 1972 Munich Olympics without surrendering a point. “We need people to come to the museum to support this event.”
