What: Individual State Tournament

The Pennsylvania Individual State Wrestling Tournament takes to the mat this weekend, running all-day Thursday (March 7th) and finishing up on Saturday with the State Finals for both AA & AAA at 7:00 PM. The 2013 tournament takes place again at Giant Center in Hershey, PA.

The wrestling mats are about to be rolled out at the Giant Center for the PIAA championships. Pennsylvania’s biggest scholastic wrestling meet begins Thursday. Three days of competition will culminate Saturday night with the crowning of the latest set of state champs. Kennard Dale junior Chance Marsteller hopes to return to the medal stand for the third time. Marsteller has an unbeaten streak of 121 high school matches. Now one of the country’s top high school wrestlers is trying for a Class AAA title at 160 pounds. Marsteller could face another returning champ in Central Dauphin’s Garrett Peppelman in the finals.  (AP)
