Henlopen Conference wrestlers were selected as top seeds in 10 of the 14 weight classes today when brackets were announced for the DIAA Individual Wrestling Tournament, to be held Friday and Saturday at Cape Henlopen High.Three wrestlers from DIAA Dual Meet team champion Caesar Rodney and three from dual runner-up Smyrna were seeded first. Cape Henlopen had two No. 1 seeds, and Polytech, Woodbridge, Salesianum, William Penn, Caravel and A.I. du Pont each had one top seed.
Wrestling will begin on five mats at 4 p.m. Friday. Saturday’s first session will be held on four mats, beginning at 11 a.m. The second session will begin on three mats at 5:30 p.m. with the fifth-place consolation finals, followed by third-place matches. The finals, held on one mat, will begin at approximately 7 p.m.
