2-1-1 periods (Championship); 1-1-1 (Consolation). Beginning with the Quarterfinals, all Championship rounds will have 2-1.5-1.5 periods.
Scholastic Style
Weight Classes (no allowance!): 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 145, 152, 160, 170, 182, 195, 220, 285 (new weight classes for 2011-12 season)
Due to time constraints, we will NOT be using the “new” overtime rules implemented for High Schools in the 2006-07 season. Any matches that go into overtime will use the “old” rules: 1 minute sudden death overtime, if no score, followed by tiebreaker rideout (first to score in regulation gets choice)
College out-of-bounds rule will be used

For grades 9-12. 7th & 8th graders may wrestle in the High School Division if they choose to, but may not compete in both the Middle School and High School Divisions.

Please note: due to the size of our tournament, most weight classes are 128-256 man brackets. Please be aware there is a strong likelihood that you will wrestle more than 5 matches in one day.
8-10 wrestlers per weight class will be seeded. Seeding will be done by a committee and will primarily be determined by performance in state and national events.
Tournament is run on 29 mats and 2 days (not all mats will be used on Sunday)
Certified officials will be used from many different states
Minimum rest time between matches is 15 minutes
We anticipate the tournament ending around 5 pm on Sunday
