Adidas America has released the 2011-2012 wrestling shoe models and we’re going to review each of the new styles and colors available this season. All of these styles are going to be available in mid-August and you can get them first at Matfish.com.
The Adidas AdiZero Wrestling Shoes are a new, high-performance wrestling shoe from Adidas America that features an incredible, lightweight design combined with technologies designed to improve traction and mobility on the mat. The adiZERO Wrestling Shoes are extremely light and are ideal for very active wrestlers (50+ matches per season). State-of-the-art adiZERO construction eliminates weight while retaining structural integrity: maintaining a strong foundation. The Adidas adiZERO Wrestling Shoes also feature a split sole design for added flexibility. A split sole design is one of the most important requirements we have for a deciding whether a shoe is high quality or not. Split sole designs feature separate sole components for the forefoot and rearfoot, allowing the shoe to be more flexible and allowing the wrestler to stay on their toes with greater ease.
Adidas has designed the adiZERO Wrestling Shoes with competition and its many variables in mind. Featuring a zippered outsole, laces are covered and in compliance with High School wrestling regulations. The Zipper appears to be solid and shouldn’t slip much. Its location in the ‘closed’ position allows for easy taping. The adiZERO also features Adidas adiWEAR technology for enhanced grip and traction on the mat. adiWEAR features an improved rubber compound for superior traction, giving you the upper hand on the competition before the match even starts.
