It’s understandable as Jean-Jacques spent the previous few years in Haverhill, Mass. before coming to Seminary this fall.
“I heard it’s a pretty big tournament. Coach [Scott] Green said pretty much the best seniors go,” Jean-Jacques said. “It’s a great honor and they hook you up with a lot of stuff.”
Jean-Jacques will compete in the prestigous exhibition that pits the best wrestlers from Pennsylvania against the best wrestlers from around the country at 6 p.m. Sunday at Pitt’s Fitzgerald Field House.
The Dapper Dan showcases the best senior talent from the United States and Jean-Jacques wrestled this year with senior eligibilty.
Jean-Jacques is a junior academically as Wyoming Seminary’s strict admission policies forced him to repeat his junior year. He’ll wrestle the 2012 season with the Blue Knights.
It’s the second straight year a heavyweight wrestler from Northeast Pennsylvania will compete in the classic.
