In the small-school 215-pound title match, Gwiazdowski pinned Cole Tristam of Clifton-Fine in 1:49, capping his 50-0 season and earning him his second state title.
Gwiazdowski pinned every wrestler he faced this season, 43 in all. His other victories came by forfeit.
“I knew I was the favorite to dominate a lot of the competition,” said Gwiazdowski, who is headed to Binghamton next year. “I figured, why not pin everyone? You can’t get more dominant than that.”
