Cody Brewer (No. 8 @ 130) has a chance to make history this weekend at the Missouri high school wrestling state tournament, but questions about the possibility seem to elicit a bit of a ho-hum approach.
What does becoming the 20th wrestler in Missouri to win four state championships mean to you?
“When you get to college,” said Brewer, an Oak Park 130-pounder, “everybody is a four-time state champion.”
As impressive as it is to win four individual state titles, the achievement is not an obsession for Brewer, an Oklahoma-bound senior who dreams of being a collegiate All-American and Olympian. He begins his quest for his fourth state title today at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.
