Defending state champion St. Johns (MI) (No. 10 in the Nation) easily advanced to the Division 2 wrestling regional, winning the district title with two victories Wednesday.

St. Johns will face the winner of the Flint Kearsley District in regional competition, which will be held next Wednesday at Owosso High (MI).

The Redwings defeated DeWitt, 65-12, and Bath/Lansing Catholic, 77-0. Their wresters won 12 of the 14 weight classes against the Panthers, including eight pins.
