2009 National Wrestling Team Rankings
The HSWrestling.Net 2009 National High School Team Rankings as well as the 2009 National Champion can be found below. After a ridiculous state tournament performance by Apple Valley & St. Paris Graham we had a very tough time picking our true number one. After much deliberation amongst our staffers here at HSWrestling we came to the conclusion that Apple Valley would likely hold off both Blair & St. Paris in a dual this season. We don’t expect to hear good things about the mythical 2009 national champions from the folks in Ohio, PA, or NJ who all had great candidates, however, we strongly believe in our selection of Apple Valley as the #1 team in the nation.

Additional Information: The owner of the site does not have any influence on the rankings and was actually skeptical of the ranking himself (He attended Apple Valley & did not want there to be a conflict of interest). Our staff of twelve part-time contributors took into account that Apple Valley cannot in fact travel to the major east coast tournaments & teams competing & winning
at Ironman, Beast, or a combination of two never went to the Midwest to compete, either.
By our best breakdown, Apple Valley would nip both Blair & St. Paris Graham in duals.
Until these teams get into a series of duals we will never know who the true champion is- it will always be done on paper.
