This puts Duffy down 5-4 and he takes a quick shot off the whistle and hit with his 3rd caution giving Ulrey another point. 6-4 Ulrey wins with 2 tech violation points and 2 gift backpoints. The crowd booed considerably after the match ended.

MATCH OF THE DAY
Conrad Polz (175-15, 3x IL STATE CHAMPION) vs Andrew Howe (192-1, Multiple time IN STATE CHAMPION)
1st Period:
Polz starts out on the offensive and gets a takedown 22 seconds into the first. Howe gets an escape quickly and the period ends with most of the shots being taken by Polz.
2nd Period:
Howe goes down and gets an escape immediately. He has one of the best standups I’ve ever seen on the high school level. Polz continues to work offense but Howe starts to look more comfortable out there and starts working some of his own. Some nice scrambles but no more scoring period ends 2-2.
3rd period:
Polz goes down and is riddin for a while. Midway through the period he gets an escape to go up 3-2 but does a lot of backing up while Howe is relentlessly attacking. Polz gets hit for stalling. Howe gets in deep on a shot and SCORES with 25 or so seconds left. Polz is down and doesn’t work for a standup just keeps trying to hit what looked like a roll to initiate a scramble but can’t escape. The match ends 4-3 in favor of Andrew Howe. Very exciting match to watch hopefully these two will battle again in the finals of Fargo.
